Our packaging is FSC Certified. Forest Stewardship Council paper is sourced from well-managed forests, meaning that it’s eco-friendly and sustainable.

We’ve also gone plastic free; instead of a paper bubble wrap we use Eco-Friendly paper bubble wrap to protect your pieces.

All of our packaging is created from forests specifically intended for use in production, eliminating illegal deforestation of undesignated land.

Why Bamboo? Because it’s a great biodegradable alternative to plastic.  We have a fantastic range of bamboo products, including dinnerware, lunch boxes and drink bottles.

Our Bamboo dinnerware is also safe because it doesn’t contain the same harmful chemicals found in manufactured plastic. Instead, it is crafted from plant-based materials rather than petroleum-based!

Biodegradable bamboo plates can be composted after using. Plates will break down within 4 to 6 months in a home compost bin. Made from renewable bamboo, these biodegradable plates are an eco-friendly alternative to disposable dinnerware.

Palm Leaf

Say no to single-use-plastic without compromising on your culinary experience

Palm leaf offers you eco-friendly disposable and biodegradable tableware made from palm leaves that are soaked in spring water, heat pressed into shape and then dried. They are 100% compostable and biodegradable. ... So, right from the source to the production and finishing, palm leaf plates are completely natural.

The Greaseproof Paper we supply with your plates is not coated with plastic, which means it can be popped in with your food waste to decompose in nature.

Here at Palm & Sage we have been known to reuse our Palm plates and bowls. A clean with a sponge and thorough dry out brings them up like new.  Please reuse with care.

Making your Life Easy

Each of our Picnic Packs contains a Compostable Bag.  We’ve included this in the hope that at the end of a picnic you can scrape off your plates, throw in your cutlery and any other palm plates and bowls you are not going to reuse, throw in your grease proof paper and napkins and pop it in the food waste bin as you walk through the front door.

Job Done – no wet and dirty bags to wipe out when you get home!

Eden Reforestation Projects

Eden Reforestation Projects is a non-profit organization committed to alleviating extreme poverty and restoring healthy forests in Haiti, Madagascar, and Nepal.

Eden works directly with villages and communities suffering from extreme poverty resulting from the deforestation and destruction of the land that sustains them.

We are doing our bit here at Palm & Sage by working with companies, partnered with Eden, who plant trees on our behalf.

To date we have planted two trees and we will continue to search out more Reforestation Projects in a bid to become more sustainable.
